Welcome to 3rd grade! I am looking forward to a productive and inspiring school year! It will be a great adventure as we embark on our educational journey! I look forward to getting to know you and your children.
I live in Ann Arbor with my husband, Todd and my golden retriever Finnegan. I have 3 adult children, Kaylee, Kendall, and Drew. They live across the country starting with Chicago and ending in LA!
Here is a bit about my educational background. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in the Interior Design program. I returned to EMU to get my teaching certification. I also took several reading classes in the masters program. I have a love of learning and I look forward to continuing my education throughout my teaching career.
I love to be outside and enjoy nature. I find so much beauty and joy from the outdoors. Michigan is a great place to be to enjoy nature! I also enjoy running with my dog, reading, traveling, photography, and spending time with my family and friends.
In my classroom, I promote an atmosphere of creativity, exploring new and challenging ideas, trust, and respect. I work hard to build a sense of community among my students and I emphasize the idea of teamwork. I value cooperation and collaboration both in my classroom, with parents, and my fellow teachers. I believe that I have found a nurturing and collabrative home at Bach. Bach is a wonderful school and I truly enjoy being around such enthusiastic students, staff, and parents.
I believe in a partnership between parents and school for the best success for your child. You are always welcome to contact me with any questions or concerns. I welcome help in the classroom. If you would like to volunteer there are many possible ways to help. You may view and sign up for volunteering on the Volunteer website page.
Please refer to our class website on a regular basis as I will update with important dates, class happenings, special assignments, add pictures of our activities, and so much more!
